There are few places that capture the beauty of a New Hampshire summer quite like Lake Winnipesaukee. On August 13th, Shelley and Mark celebrated their wedding at Mill Falls by the Lake in Meredith, NH, formerly known to many couples as Church Landing.

With beautiful sunshine, sparkling lake views, and family and friends gathered from near and far—including loved ones from Argentina—their wedding was a celebration of not only two people coming together, but two families and cultures sharing an unforgettable day in one of New Hampshire’s most beautiful settings.

A Beautiful Summer Wedding on Lake Winnipesaukee

Shelley and Mark couldn’t have asked for a better August day.

The sunshine reflecting across Lake Winnipesaukee created a gorgeous backdrop throughout the celebration. From quiet moments between the couple to family portraits and candid interactions along the waterfront, the scenery gave us endless opportunities to capture beautiful footage.

There’s something naturally cinematic about a wedding by the lake. The movement of the water, boats passing in the distance, summer greenery, and changing light throughout the afternoon create a setting that feels distinctly New England.

For a wedding videographer, it’s hard to ask for much more.

Bringing Family Together From New England and Argentina

While the location was beautiful, what made Shelley and Mark’s wedding especially memorable was the people who traveled to celebrate with them.

Mark’s parents are from Argentina, and the wedding brought together family and friends from different places and backgrounds for one very special occasion.

Weddings have an incredible ability to bring people together, and that feeling was present throughout Shelley and Mark’s celebration. Guests who may not see one another often—or who had traveled a long way to be there—were able to spend an entire summer day celebrating the couple beside Lake Winnipesaukee.

Those interactions are some of our favorite moments to preserve on film.

Years later, the wedding video won’t only show Shelley and Mark what their venue looked like. It will allow them to hear the voices, see the expressions, and remember the family members and friends who traveled to share this chapter of their lives.

What ultimately makes the film meaningful are the people within those scenes—the laughter between family members, emotional reactions, hugs between people who traveled hundreds or thousands of miles to be there, and all the little moments the couple may not even notice while their wedding day is happening.
